Grüner Veltliner
Ried Offenberg
| 1ÖTW

One of the most powerful Veltliners from our cellar! The Offenberg deserves its place among the premier sites. Old vines from the early 60s grow here, on dense loess soils. The south-facing terraces ensure long hours of sunshine during the day, while the cold air currents from the north moving down the valley are crucial for the necessary acid structure in the wine.

The Offenberg forms the beginning of the Strassertal together with the southern flank of the Gaisberg. Its heavy loess soils ensure an optimal water supply for the vines. The main picking season is from mid to late October. After a relatively cool fermentation at 18° C, the Grüner Veltliner Offenberg matures on the lees for almost a year before being bottled.
