Brut
Grosse Reserve 2014

delicate mousseux, fragrant brioche, pure elegance! The grapes for the most valuable sparkling wine from our winery come from the Strasser Hasel. Chardonnay, Weißburgunder and Pinot Noir from the Stangl are fermented together in large wooden barrels following gentle whole-cluster pressing.

grape variety:
1/3 Grüner Veltliner 1/3 Pinot Noir 1/3 Chardonnay & Weißburgunder
vineyard:
Hasel, Stangl, Offenberg
soil:
chalky loess

The Grand Reserve is only made in select years. All the ripening parameters of the grape material must be right in autumn. The fine perlage and the delicate fruit only develop after a long period of ageing in the bottle. After five years in the bottle, our Grand Reserve is taken out from our cellar, 12- metres underground, and fetched from the Gaisberg.
