Our staff is out in the vineyards all day long to finish the cutting of the vines. The wood is in good condition, the minus 20 degrees Celsius in December had no influence on it.

Meanwhile Staschek and Juergen work in the cellar. Red wines like the zweigelt Sachsenberg and the Pinot Noir are separated from cloudy particles and filled back in the barrels again.

I start with my travels to Danmark, Sweden and Germany to visit customers and fairs.

January 2011

On the 10th of January we began to work in the vineyard. The whole team is alive and kicking.

The boys are not pleased to go to school again.

The vineyard team is busy with cutting the vines.

Temperature is adequate to the season and not so cold as December. Our record was 18 degrees below zero in Strass!

We begin cutting the vines on the hill sites.
In the cellar vintage 2010 gets filtrated and partly prepared for filling.
Within the next few days Grüner Veltliner Strassertal, Grüner Veltliner Wechselberg, Green und Riesling Strassertal will be bottled.

These wines are ready for tasting and selling from the 17th of January forward!
